CITYDATA.ai is honored and delighted to be included in the prestigious GovTech 100 list for 2018. #AI #BigData #PeopleIntelligence #Geospatial #SmartCities
The GovTech 100 is an annual list compiled and published by Government Technology Magazine and eRepublic, representing the top 100 companies that contracted with state and local government agencies for innovation projects across the United States.
In 2018, the civic technology market brought bigger deals, more investment, new companies and many fresh new innovations that moved the needle in the public sector. This year, GovTech has also published an impressive network map of the top companies and their key investors. The map powered by Kumu.io uses blue dots to represent GovTech 100 companies and grey dots for VC investment firms and angel investors. You can search any investor or company. Holding your mouse over any icon will show you the connections between nodes on the network.
CITYDATA.ai are the creators of CityDash, a one-stop data analytics and AI platform for cities on a budget. We are the Chief Data Officer in the cloud, for the 99% of cities that are in desperate need of analytics, but cannot afford data science teams.
At CITYDATA.ai, we've always had a civic bent. Our foray into the public sector started with STIR or Startup In Residence, a phenomenal program that connects government agencies with startups to develop technology products that address civic challenges. Over 16 weeks, startups and government work together to co-develop solutions that create real impact. We were hosted by the City of San Leandro. We had the benefit of also working with the City of San Francisco, City of West Sacramento and City of Oakland.
Since then, CITYDATA.ai has been to the White House to attend the Smart Cities Council. ReadWrite listed us as a top startup changing the urban experience. Inc Magazine wrote about our AI platform. GovTech Magazine covered us twice.
One of our core founding tenets at CITYDATA.ai is:
For every new problem we tackle in the private sector, we will commit to solving a civic challenge in the public sector.
We truly believe in the civic tour of duty for startups, solving real problems that make a positive social impact, continuously contributing to and making progress towards a stronger democracy. We are humbled by the recognition and accolades as we continue to focus our energy toward analyzing and improving the life experiences in our cities and local communities.
